My poor neglected blog!

POMEGRANATES & PROSE
16 x 20 inches
Oils on Cradled Wood Panel

I'm hoping that my muse will come back to me after a  "too long" sabatical. I finished my studio but still haven't picked up a brush to do a full sized painting since I put everything in place.

Drat those mental and creative blocks!  I've done lots of needlework (knitting, crocheting and sewing) but no paintings other than my little Oddiments.

I'm hoping I can get back on track in 2015! Wish me luck, ok?

WILDFLOWER ODDMENT No. 1

WILDFLOWER ODDMENT No 1
6 x 4 inches
Oil on Wood
$40

I decided that once my studio was "up and running" I would start off with some little paintings called "oddments".  These are painted on remainder pieces of wood that are left once my larger panels are constructed.

I thought it would be fun to just do a few of these for a while to get back into the swing. The wildflowers that are in the painting are from my yard in Texas.

This little painting is signed, both on the front and back. It's unframed and can be hung just as it is (I attached a sawtooth hanger on it).

It will ship via Priority Mail in a padded envelope.

THE STUDIO!

The studio is pretty much finished now and I've moved into it!

Oh boy... did it fill up quickly!  I've since switched the small drawing table out and replaced it with a 3' x 5' drafting table which will be much more useable with its flat file drawer and larger work surface.

While going through the flat file drawer and organizing all the papers (found some beautiful Twinrocker Handmade Watercolor sheets in there!  YEA!) I just might have to put those to good use.
